Irving, Robert H., 95, of Scituate Vista, passed peacefully Saturday, April 25, at Cedar Crest Nursing Home. Born in Providence, a son of the late William and Loretta B. (Maloney) Irving, he was the husband of the late Rose M. (Hopkins) Irving. The Irving’s had lived in Cranston for 70 years.
Bob was a house painter with his brothers for over 30 years. He later became a security guard. He was a veteran of WWII serving with the Army Air Corp.
He leaves a son Robert E. Irving of Cranston, 4 Grandchildren; Michael Irving of West Virginia, Robert K. Irving of Johnston, David Irving of Richardson, Texas and Crystal Lord of Alabama, 6 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandson.
His life will be celebrated with calling hours Tuesday from 8-10:00am in the Stapleton Family Funeral Home, 684 Park Avenue, Cranston. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday at 11:00am in St. George Maronite Catholic (the former St. Anne) Church, 1493 Cranston Street, Cranston. Burial, with military honors, will be in St Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
