Gebar, Edward A., 72, passed peacefully Wednesday (6/24/2015) at the Phillip Hulitar Center. He was the son of the late Anthony and Winifred (Veary) Gebar. Mr. Gebar was the husband of the late D. Marie (Burgo) Gebar. They had lived in East Providence for many years.

Mr. Gebar was a self-employed real estate investor for many years before retiring in 1978. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War.

He leaves 4 daughters, Heather and Jennifer Andrade of East Providence, and Alicia and Gina Gebar of Ft. Lauderdale, FL., a son Michael Gebar of Cranston, 2 brothers, Lawrence Gebar of Jupiter, FL, and Stephen Gebar of Providence, 2 sisters, Susan DeSousa of West Palm Beach and Lucile Clark of Orlando, FL, 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was brother of the late Donald and John Gebar.

His life will be celebrated with calling hours Monday 4-7pm in the Stapleton Family Funeral Home, 684 Park Avenue, Cranston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St Charles Borromeo Church, 178 Dexter St. Providence 02907. Burial with military honors will be in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
