|
Dos Santos, Jose, 85, passed peacefully Monday at Eastgate Nursing Home. Born in Guarda, Portugal a son of the late Bernardino and Anna (Saraiva) Cabral, he came to the United States in 1971. He was the husband of Maria Muxagata.
Mr. Dos Santos was a jewelry polisher at the former Metalart Buckle Company for 20 years before retiring in 1991. He was a member of the Cranston American Portuguese Club in Cranston.
Besides his wife he leaves a daughter Connie Paulo of West Greenwich, 2 sons; Antonio J. Santos of Manchester, CT and Luis Santos of San Diego, CA, a sisters Idalina Tavares of San Paulo, Brazil, 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. He was brother of the late Edgar Dos Santos and Ester Santos.
His life will be celebrated with calling hours Friday from 5-8 in the Stapleton Family Funeral Home, 685 Park Avenue, Cranston, RI. Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Rosary Church, 21 Traverse St., Providence Saturday at 9:00am. Burial will be in St Ann Cemetery.
